Petter Solberg Takes a Drive in the Vineyards at WRC

LONGUEUIL, QC. — Who doesn’t enjoy a great cup of wine on a Saturday? Petter Solberg, a World Rally Championship (WRC) driver is no exception. While racing in the France Rally in Epfig on October 6th, Solberg got a little more wine than he wanted.

While entering an “S-Curve”, Solberg missed his first turn sending his car into the vine yards. Having his visibility reduced to practically zero, he exited a first vine yard section perpendicular to the road thus sending his car into a second section of vine yards.

He would finally finish his escapade after the car slammed into an electrical pole sending it crashing to the ground.

Luckily, nobody was injured.
