NEW YORK, NY — To launch the season, New York area Habs fans are gathering at Manhattan’s Blue Moon Cafe on Thursday 7 October to represent the bleu, blanc et rouge open their 2010 season against the Leafs!

If you have ever felt like you’re the only Habs fan in your office and neighborhood, join us at the Blue Moon Cafe to see that you are not alone! We have a fantastic group in NYC and this will be a great opportunity for us all to get to know each other. There will also be Habs fans traveling from Montreal in attendance AND we are even hoping to lure some Rangers, Devils, and Islanders fans to join us for the fun. It’s going to be a great party, so pass the word!

The Blue Moon Cafe is THE place to watch hockey in Manhattan (besides MSG, of course). The owners and staff bend over backwards to make hockey fans feel at home. Nowhere else in New York can you find a bar with all of the tv’s tuned to hockey when the Yankees are playing! Check out my review of this fine establishment from last season: “Habs in NYC: Blue Moon Cafe

Also, we will be having a t-shirt giveaway at the Blue Moon Cafe that night! Watch this space for more details. First, though, be sure to RSVP today! Simply click on the “RSVP for a Habs Tweetup” tab above and choose YES (or choose MAYBE if you’re not quite sure if you can make it).

We especially welcome everyone who has never been to a Habs Tweetup. Are you wondering what exactly goes on or you have questions? Feel free to email me (the New York Event Coordinator) at chrisr@allhabs.net. You can also catch up with me and get the latest details on Twitter where my name is @chrisrbrown. We will be planning several Habs Tweetups throughout the season!

See you there!
