REINHART NAMED PACIFIC4 SPORTS FORWARD OF THE MONTH

CALGARY, AB – Future Considerations Hockey today announced Sam Reinhart of the Kootenay Ice as the Pacific4 Sports Management draft eligible forward of the month for March.

After finishing the regular season with 11 points in nine games, Reinhart ran roughshod over the Calgary Hitmen in the opening round of the 2014 WHL Playoffs. The product of Vancouver, BC recorded five goals and 12 assists in just six games to lead the Ice to the series win.

“Reinhart continued to dominate the WHL with another outstanding month of hockey,” Future Considerations WHL head scout Zenon Herasymiuk said. “He took his offensive dominance to another level, leading the Ice to a first round upset of the Calgary Hitmen. Reinhart’s ability to continue to show his poise and on-ice awareness in a playoff setting has impressed.”

Reinhart finished fifth in regular season scoring in the WHL with 36 goals and 105 points in 60 games. He was named first team WHL All-Star. He’s Future Considerations’ top-ranked forward and sits second overall behind Barrie Colts defenseman Aaron Ekblad.

Also considered for the award was Michael Dal Colle of the Oshawa Generals. In his final five games of the Ontario Hockey League schedule, Dal Colle recorded four goals and seven points. He also had five goals and 10 points in Oshawa’s four-game sweep of the Mississauga Steelheads.
