April 22, 2014 – It’s more than a game. It’s a social experience! CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA continues to bring hockey fans even closer to the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs by providing near-instant video highlights through Twitter Canada. Throughout the playoffs, CBC’s official @hockeynight account is posting sponsored clips using SnappyTV, featuring video from each CBC game broadcast including highlight reel-worthy goals and overtime winners.

CBC PlayoffsThrough the use of the innovative Twitter Amplify platform, fans are able to watch and share highlights during and after every CBC broadcast from wherever they are. This partnership is a first for CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA and Budweiser and furthers CBC’s multi-platform approach to connecting with audiences across the country. This feature extends Budweiser’s (@budcanada) existing media sponsorship with CBC that also includes Coach’s Corner and the engaging fan experience Hockey Night in Canada: 2nd Screen.

The clips posted by @hockeynight are pulled directly from the live TV broadcasts using SnappyTV, a cloud-based social video publishing and distribution platform. SnappyTV’s platform features a robust suite of tools allowing CBC to edit and share video clips of any length instantly, keeping hockey fans in the know with goal updates as they happen.
